Finally...A Coming Together.
At last, a coming together of two things, neither of which I have time for. I just discovered I can do voice exercises and blog at the same time. So here I come again. But I can't comment and do voice exercises, so take heart. But I will need to do voice exercises for a couple hours a day if I'm going to whip this voice of mine into shape. While I'd like to 'sing the mighty power of God', I can't yet. Not mightily anyway. But maybe soon.

Today While Driving.
2 Corinthians on tape, in NASB form, has been playing in the tape player of my Rav4 now for months. What a unique letter from Paul to those wealthy young-in-Christ folks. Paul is so refreshed by Titus, such a workman in Christ, who had such an edifying effect on the new church in Macedonia, and now is hoped on by Paul to have an equally strengthening effect on the Corinthian church. That is just something that never quite sank in as it did today. There is so much there.
Here are a few of the other verses that jumped out at me today that I'd just like to mention especially. Just good stuff:
8:4, "...begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints, and this we had not expected,..."
I am in awe here.
11:21, "To my shame I must say that we have been weak by comparison."
It seems to me, that what is indispensible to the vital ability in Paul's personality which makes all of his trademark truth revealing sarcasm work so well is, his humble honesty.
13:11, "Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace;..."
How can we thank Him enough for that.
